1. What RTFT Is

RTFT (“Read The F@#%ing Terms”) is a consumer-advocacy tool that uses AI to analyze Terms of Service and Privacy Policies of websites and apps. We highlight concerning practices so you can make informed decisions about the services you use.

2. Your Account

You sign in through Google. We don't store your Google password — ever. You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure. If you notice suspicious activity on your RTFT account, let us know and we'll help sort it out.

3. Credits & Subscriptions

• Credit packs are one-time purchases. Once bought, credits don't expire and can be used whenever you like.
• Subscription plans (Monthly or Lifetime) give you a daily analysis allowance that resets each day at midnight UTC.
• If our AI fails to complete an analysis, your credit or daily usage is automatically refunded. You never pay for a broken analysis.
• Monthly subscriptions can be canceled at any time. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.
• Refund policy: Credit packs and Lifetime plans are non-refundable once used. If you purchased something by mistake and haven't used it, reach out to us within 7 days and we'll make it right.

4. What You Can (and Can't) Do

You can:

• Use analyses for personal research, journalism, education, or sharing on social media.
• Share and link to public analyses on RTFT.
• Quote our analyses with attribution.

Please don't:

• Scrape or bulk-download analyses for commercial resale.
• Use RTFT to harass companies or individuals.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or exploit our systems.
• Create automated bots that submit analyses without authorization.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Our analyses are produced by AI. While we work hard to make them accurate and useful, they are not legal advice. AI can make mistakes, miss nuances, or misinterpret language. Always read the original documents yourself (yes, the irony of that statement on a site called RTFT is not lost on us) and consult a qualified attorney for legal decisions.

6. Our Content & Your Content

The RTFT brand, design, and AI-generated analyses are our intellectual property. The URLs you submit remain yours — we don't claim ownership of the websites you ask us to analyze. Completed analyses may be displayed publicly on our browse page to help other users.

7. Availability & Changes

We aim for high uptime but can't guarantee 100% availability. We may update features, pricing, or these terms over time. If we make material changes to these terms, we'll notify you via email or a prominent notice on the site before the changes take effect.

8. Limitation of Liability

RTFT is provided “as is.” We are not liable for decisions you make based on our AI analyses, any inaccuracies in the AI output, service interruptions, or indirect/consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

9. Termination

You can stop using RTFT at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account without cause, we'll refund any unused credits or the prorated remainder of your subscription.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property matters.
